POOPS WA is powered by kind-hearted volunteers who share a love for animals and a passion for helping others. Our volunteers know that pets are family, and that no one should have to give up their beloved best friend due to age or health challenges.
By volunteering with POOPS WA, you’re not just helping a pet — you’re making a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Volunteers often tell us how rewarding it is to provide practical support and brighten someone’s day, all while spending time with animals.

POOPS WA welcomes all animal lovers who are willing to give a little of their time to make a big difference.
Whether you’re looking for a way to give back, love being around animals, or want to support your community in a meaningful way, there’s a place for you at POOPS WA.
We have a range of volunteer roles to match different skills and availability.
While dog walking is our most popular volunteer role, we also need help in other areas.
Complete our Volunteer Application form and let us know what you’re passionate about, and we’ll find a role that suits you.

Anyone aged 18 or over with a genuine love for animals and a desire to help others is welcome to apply. You’ll need a current National Police Clearance or Working With Children Check, and be physically able to carry out your volunteer duties safely.
It depends on the type of volunteering you’d like to do. For dog walking, access to transport isn’t always necessary. However, for pet transport and other off-site activities, having your own reliable transport is helpful.
There’s no minimum requirement. Some volunteers help once a week, others once a month, it depends on your availability and the needs in your area. We’ll always do our best to find a fit that works for you.
That’s okay! Even if you can only help from time to time or prefer to be on standby, we’d still love to hear from you.
